Back To normality

Well we have had the first full week of school over us and everything appears to be going well so far. The daily notes of money required for school fund, items required for art, money for technology and more money for a trip away to Ardnabannon at the end of the month. Oh and not forgetting backing those school books what joy.

Kerrie has very begrudgingly gone back to college she doesn't want to go but I wont let her leave without getting a job first and she has done very little over the summer to find one. Now however that she is back she has increased her efforts thankfully. She is off into town today to shop and chase up a few job leads. The shops are starting to advertise for Christmas Staff so I think she hopes to get something soon. Anything to get out of college.

As for me it was the start of my new healthy eating and it actually hasn't been that bad so far I have even started getting out walking yes even in all the rain. But I dont stop thinking about food and not necessarily what I cant have I'm just a bit obsessive.

I also went back to work on Wednesday and funnily enough it felt like I hadn't been away. My usual work partner is off this week so I will have to wait unitl next week to find out what he has been saying about. He usually makes up outrageous stories about were I am when I'm off and one day people are actually going to believe him!!!

On a sadder note my friend from work Paul lost his wife to Cervical Cancer Ali was only 34 and leaves two young sons aged 5 and 3. So please pray for them and ladies if you have been avoiding getting that smear test or simply forgotten how long it is since you had it done just make that appointment and go.

That's so sad about your friend's wife. The poor children too, they're so young. Of course we'll pray for them.

Hopefully Kerry will get a job if she dislikes college so much. As you say, that will be what makes her make an effort!

Glad to hear Megan's doing well at school and I'm so impressed you were walking in that rain Lyn! Wow! Can I have some of your determination?

Lyn, that is so sad about your friend's wife. I was meant to have a test when Alice was born and it was a great excuse not to get one done. However, this is also a very good reminder that I need to book it!!!

Hope Kerry finds a job soon which she really enjoys.

Isn't our education meant to be free!!??? I'm also glad that Megan seemed to enjoy her first week. It is such a huge adjustment.

Maybe "see" you tonight.

Hi Lyn

Good to hear something from you again. You have been missed.

Sorry to hear about your friends wife - cancer is such a terrible disease....and it makes it all the worse/sadder when there is small children involved.

Hope Kerry finds her long awaited job, especially when she doesn´t like college. It´s awful going to a place when you don´t want to.

Ok going off to update my blog. I actually had a life over the last few days - so I had no blog!! haha

Hopefully get to talk to you later....bye

Lyn, I felt so sad when I read about your friend Paul - I've known so many young families in the same situation, and there are no easy answers.
I'm impressed that you've been able to insist that Kerry stay on at college till she get a job, maybe she knows better than to argue eh?
My blog is like Lisa's, so if you haven't enough to do and want even more blogs to read then I need your email too!
