Well the above just about sums up my week. I spent last Tues at the Thanksgiving Service for Ali. Her cremation was private for family only but the held a Thanksgiving Service for her in the afternoon. I wasn't exactly looking forward to it but I'm glad I went it had everything praise, tears, laughter etc.
So on Wednesday Kerrie and I went to Ikea now I have avoided it since it opened. I decided to brave it knowing it wouldn't be as busy during the week. It took us about 3 hours to get round it all and have our lunch. I nearly came home with a wardrobe but I resisted the temptation... well I would never have fitted it in the Fiesta. But I did buy quite a bit when I got home I checked my receipt I bought 19 items and had only spent 25 quid :-)
Tonight I am off to the theatre darlings, thats what I said to the kids and they looked at me like I had two heads. Going to the Opera House to see an "Our Jimmy" tribute he is supposed to be very good I have never seen him before but my friend Lisa from work has so we are going together with another couple of her friends. Should be good fun.
Now I have been inspired by all this baking going on so I might even have a go myself at the weekend... mind you I havn't baked since I left school in 1984... somebody has to keep the bakeries open:-)

Hi Lyn
Isn´t Ikea just fantastic!!! I go at least once a month, even when I dont need to buy anything. It just relaxs me going around that place. Love it!!
Hope you have a good time at the theatre. Our Jimmy - I have an old video with him on. (I know it wont be him at the theatre - he´s dead! ) but his stories and jokes and wee sketches were really funny.
Let us know how it was.
Good to hear from you again. You were a bit quiet for a while....welcome back to the land of blogging.
talk soon
Hi Lyn,
Glad to hear from you! and glad to hear you're well even if the week was full of ups & downs.
How's Kerrie doing at college & Megan at school? Hope everyone's settled well.
Bye for now, will talk soon.
Hiya Lyn,
So where is the new IKEA? Our house is like an IKEA show room, the stuff is quite reasonable but quite good quality too.
When we were moving in here 6 years ago, the people we bought the house from tried to sell us a Welsh dresser which had been made for the house. They wanted to sell it to us for £2000!!!! We told them we weren't interested, because we had a load of new furniture to buy for the house (given we were moving from a flat) and could certainly furnish the rest of the house with that from IKEA and still have change.
Enjoy your night at the theatre. I'm off to the theatre next month to see Taming of The Shrew by the RSC, can't wait.
Good to hear from you again, sorry it's been quite a difficult time though.
